In xCAD Interior PRO there is now the first version of the object designer with curves in the plate course.
As a basis for the future development of the object designer, functions for group formation were extended.
Numerous new functions and new modules in the CNC/CAM area.

For xCAD Interior Light, Design and PRO:

Advanced functions for group creation (add/remove objects to/from groups, automatic insertion of new objects into selected groups).
Show alone: Now only the materials of the shown objects are displayed in the window 'Materials'.

For xCAD Interior Design:

Automatic positioning of sloped panels via context menu (e.g. for pitched roof cabinets etc.).

For xCAD Interior PRO:

Individual plinth feet: If you want to use plinth feet with fixed height and geometry, you can create an article plinth foot glider and adjust the geometric 3D model and the drill holes there.
Door buffer with new parameter 'Offset for positioning from the edge'.
Drawer with new front mounting.
Connections can now be copied via the clipboard.
Screw connection: With the screw connection, you can set the drilling depth of the threaded part (drill as before, only drill surface hole, mark).

CNC output: plate rotation has been extended by priority of rules and rotation of the longer side in y direction.
CNC output: Twisted plates (e.g. lower, upper floor for corner cabinet 90° or corner cabinet 135°) are turned.
CNC output DXF/NC-Hops/HolzHer Warehouse with new parameters for Clamex production with hand machine. The guide holes are adjustable in the article, the manufacturing options in the tab 'article options' in the CNC settings.
CNC output DXF: for flat dowels the central axis is now drawn away from the panel surface.

Against the background of the continuing corona pandemic and its effects on the world economy, NürnbergMesse and VDMA Woodworking Machinery have decided, in agreement with the Department of Environment and Health of the City of Nürnberg, not to hold HOLZ-HANDWERK in conjunction with FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in 2020. HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE will take place again from 29 March to 1 April 2022 as scheduled according to the biennial rotation.

With POV-Ray, material with radiated light can now be used in the „radiosity rendering method“. This allows to simulate area light sources and illumination with LED strips.
The model presets have been extended and optimized.
Frame fill fronts can now be nested and center friezes can be inserted. This allows to draw more complex door models for e.g. entrance doors.

For xCAD Interior Light, Design and PRO:

Model presets for plinth panels.
2D-Editor: Determine the angle between two adjacent elements using diagonal dimensions (select two adjacent elements and choose 'Determine angle of 2nd element using diagonal dimension' from the context menu and enter the diagonal dimension).
A color can now be set for all visible articles.

For xCAD Interior Design and PRO:

Frame filling fronts can now be nested.
Center friezes can be made trapezoidal with the parameters angle deviation.

Highlights of the new xCAD versions:

The xCAD Light Edition has been greatly enhanced by the fact that all essential functions for designing kitchens and furnishings are now available. The creation of floor plans and elevation plans is now also possible with xCAD Light.
In all xCAD editions, individual model presettings can now be defined. These presettings are automatically applied when creating new cabinets and components.
The real-time renderer is now also available in the xCAD Design Edition, so that you can present the plans and models to your customers in an even more impressive way.
The xCAD catalogs have been updated. There are new Egger and Pfleiderer materials, a drawer catalog and examples of catalogs in the modular system for quick and easy construction of cabinet designs including CNC data.
We will present our new object designer at the 'Holz&Handwerk' trade fair in Nürnberg in March 2020. With this tool you will be able to plan desks and counters in the gastronomy, office and reception area easily and quickly.

For xCAD Interior Light, Design and PRO:

Model presets:
- Material and design presets can be defined which are used when creating new cabinets and components.
- Multiple model presets can be saved as files to create presets for different model variants.
- Material and machining presets can also be created for worktops, panels, fascia and cleats.
The wall views for different walls can be selected simply by clicking on the corresponding wall in the room selection window.
Component selection mode: When you click on a sub-element (edge, carrier, frieze, ...), the higher-level component is selected. This simplifies the editing of components, e.g. for connection settings, if they are composed of carriers and edges.
Dimensions in floor plan, wall view and other 2D views can be overwritten by the user. For identification purposes, changed dimension numbers are shown in italics.
Project name, customer/commission and project description are output to parts lists.

3D objects can be imported directly from a ZIP archive without having to unpack the ZIP archive first (e.g.: COLLADA ZIP files from the 3D Warehouse).

Part specific color mode: When editing parts built by carriers and edges, it is often difficult to see where edges are activated and where they are not. By displaying in the new Part Specific Color Mode view, beams and edges are displayed in easily distinguishable colors, allowing very quick visual inspection of the design.

Room selection:
- Camera is displayed
- Camera can be moved/rotated
- The selected wall view is displayed in green
Improved management of automatic backup files:
- Individual backup files are created for each schedule (not just a single backup file for all schedules as before)
- Several backup files with timestamps are created for each schedule (this allows you to restore older versions of a file)
- Old backup files are automatically deleted after the adjustable disk space reserved for backups (default: 500 MB) has been used up and the backup files are older than the adjustable minimum retention period (default: 7 days)
You can search for material from the scene in the catalogs (right click in the window with the materials currently used in the scene)
Improved 3D display of curves
2D editor: lasso function for closed shapes
Bug fix: When importing views/cross sections into the overview plan, it sometimes happened that the dimensions were not imported correctly

Length-dependent connection: now different connection settings (e.g. dowel + eccentric) can be set for different connection lengths
Front stabilizer article: for drawers, front stabilizers can be inserted between the bottom and front of the drawer. The standard value is a length-dependent connection which sets a stabiliser in the middle from 900 mm base width

In xCAD Interior add-on modules:

New CAM driver: Holz-Her Warehouse CNC Export + Holz-Her Evolution CNC Export
CAM Collective Output: Multiple CAM outputs can be combined in one step
e.g. CNC with HHOS export, CNC with cutting optimization and label printing, etc.
CAM output: plate rotation of the front adjustable via stop side
NCHops output: Cutters for recesses can be set separately (previously only cutters for outer contour could be set)
HHOS export: If no additional catalog data exists for a material, the exact material description from the catalog or scene is used without additional millimeters

4. activate the 'Processing group' option for the group
→ The connecting holes in the cabinet are now drilled in the vertical panel
Pedestal foot: Now you can select the reference area for the pedestal foot positioning, cabinet floor area or lower floor (preset 'lower floor' as before)
Pedestal foot: Now the pedestal foot positions are also adjusted with individual settings for cabinet size changes (previously this was only the case with default positioning). If you don't want to change the base position when changing the cabinet size, please deactivate the new option 'Dynamic scaling'

- Keyboard shortcut (default F4) for graphical CAM output

The focus of the development this time are new modules and functions like freehand drawings, more flexible roof slopes incl. roof windows, bumpmapping textures in the real-time visualization and new CAD / CAM interfaces.
We also extended the xCAD catalogs with some bumpmapping textures.

In xCAD Interior Design and PRO:

Freehand drawing (chalk line) in pure black/white, black/white with color filling and black/white with watercolor effect
Roof window - Direct insertion of the windows on the roof slope
Automatic roof slopes even with central walls
Line reduction for 3D objects ('crease angle')
Rectangle selection in the floor plan and in the wall view (for a quick selection of several objects for grouping or hiding)
